Elite Staircases came highly recommended by a close friend who had used them in the interior remodeling of their home.I reached out to Elite and after a detailed conversation about what I was looking for, we agreed to meet at my property. Carlos promptly came out at the agreed time.(Being punctual goes a long way with me, so we’re off to a good start)I wanted to replace the builder grade handrail around my elevated deck. We agreed upon a horizontal metal cable system with a beautiful wood top rail cap. The work commenced and the end product was just perfect.What a change from the original!I was so happy with the results that I employed Carlos to move to the inside of the house and replace my existing handrail with the same cable system as outside. After 1 other contractor attempted to do it unsuccessfully, we found Elite on Angies list and never looked back. They are true craftsmen, and new every aspect of the staring world. They knew exactly how to curve a rail with expertise. So skilled were they the project scope creeped a lot, we asked them laying the flooring on the stairs in both areas. It really turned out spectacular. They arrived when the promised and finished ahead of schedule. We loved their work so much we are welcoming them back once the job finished to take photos for the website. We transformed our original hand railing to a modern farm home style design. Black iron frame with square 6002 wood hand rail.I had shopped around for prices, and while I had a lower priced option with a competitor, Elite Staircases’ management actually came to look at the stairs and provided great communication, promptly, by answering all my questions.There were some minor issues experienced during the course of the project, specifically where the balusters were welded very poorly, and a small burn on our vinyl step from welding. I would recommend paying close attention at every step and ensuring what you want is articulated. This was my first time with such a project so sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know. The good thing was management communicated to me and they resolved my main concerns.The team did a fantastic job fixing our wood caps at the bottom of the stairs and a good enough job patching the wall areas and repainting the walls, though I’ll probably work with a paint team to make it better, as you can still see lines where the old original beams were.The end result and installation overall I would rate a solid B+. I’m a perfectionist, so the very slight imperfect welds, not perfectly aligned wood handrails to the metal base, and misangled vertical support beams are noticeable to me. I would recommend Elite Staircases for anyone needing a prompt redo of their handrails. read less
